Ethel Deladurantey Stryffeler

Funeral Services will be held 10 AM Monday at the Lane Family Funeral Home, Anstrom Chapel, 8387 Tod Avenue in Boardman for Ethel DeLadurantey Stryffeler, 84, of Austintown, formerly of Boardman, who passed away Wednesday evening in Austinwoods Care Center. Ethel was born July 4, 1930 in Johnstown, PA., the daughter of the late Charles and Mildred (Oaks) Glass. She worked as a bookkeeper for JB Supply for 10 years and also worked as a CNA (Certified Nurses Association) in Naples Florida for 4 years before retiring in December of 2006. Ethel was a graduate of Punxsutawney High School where she was a Majorette and married her high school sweetheart Charles DeLadurantey. She loved the Lord and was a former member of Good Hope Lutheran Church in Boardman where she also served as the secretary for a couple of years. Her hobbies included fishing, boating, dancing and music. Ethel loved the music of Jimmy Buffet especially the song "Holiday". Most of all Ethel loved to spend time with her family. She leaves five children; Christopher (Joan) DeLadurantey of Naples, FL., Charles (Michelle DeLadurantey of Nashville, TN., Linda Barnes of Boardman, Laura (Jack) MacCartney of Jacksonville, FL., and James (Kathy DeLadurantey of Boardman, one brother, Ted Glass of Austintown, as well as 23 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, Ethel was preceded in death by her first husband Charles DeLadurantey, whom she married March 29, 1950, he passed away February 21, 1991, her second husband Herbert Stryffeler, whom she married September 29, 1995, he passed away October 2, 1997, and one son in law Gary Polder. Friends may call from 5 to 7 PM Sunday July 5, 2015 at the Lane Family Funeral Home, Anstrom Chapel, and again from 9:30 AM until the time of services at the funeral home on Monday.
