Ethel Mae Finch

Services will be 12 noon on Tuesday at the Lane Funeral Home Canfield Chapel for Ethel Mae Finch, 99, of Canfield who passed away Saturday morning in St. Elizabeth Medical Center Boardman Campus. Mae was born February 2, 1910 in Elyria, OH, the daughter of Albert and Emily (Edwards) Harrison. She was a musician with the Fran Lee Trio and the Evelyn Blake Orchestra, as well as a wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Mae was a member of Second Church of Christ Scientist, were she was secretary for organizations in the church, its flower arranging and also worked in its library. Mae was also a member of the Musicians Local 87, and a former member of the Sweet Adeline’s. She was also associated with the American, Pennsylvania and Central Florida Brittany Clubs. Mae leaves two sons; D. Paul (Bonnie) Finch of Salem and Carl D. (Ann) Finch of Panama City FL, one sister; Evelyn Blake of Austintown, and four grandsons; William P. (Patty) Finch of Akron, Douglas Finch of Panama City, Kevin M. Finch of Austintown, and Andrew S. (Sarah) Finch of Columbiana, as well as one great granddaughter; Brooke Shelby Finch of Panama City. Besides her parents, Mae is preceded in death by her husband Carrol “Del” Finch whom she married June 29, 1934, he passed away August 22, 1994, one granddaughter; Rebecca Finch, and four brothers; Dennis, Lionel, Jim, and Clarence Harrison. Friends may call from 11 AM until noon Tuesday at the funeral home.
