Eugene E. Mccombs

Mineral Ridge: Funeral services will be held 11 Am Friday at the Lane Funeral Home-Mineral Ridge Chapel for Eugene E. McCombs, age 76 of 1957 Farmdale Ave. who died Sunday morning at Omni Manor. Eugene was born Nov. 11, 1926 in Mineral Ridge and was the son of James and Florence (Allender) McCombs. He had been a life long resident of Weathersfield Twp. and a life member of the V.F.W. Post 4192 of Mineral Ridge. He had been an owner-operator truck driver, mainly hauling steel and served in the Army Infantry during WWII. His wife the former Eileen M. (Girard) McCombs whom he married May 29, 1948 died Sept. 5, 2001. Eugene is survived by a daughter Linda (Jack) Ryan of Williamsburg, VA., a son Keith G. (Gail) McCombs of Mineral Ridge, a sister Ellen Ponio of Mesa, AZ, five grandchildren; Melissa Terlizzi, Jonathan Ryan, Amanda Apanasewicz, Samantha Rauscher, Jacob McCombs, three great grandchildren; Jacqueline and Carmen Terlizzi and Alexa Apanasewicz. He was preceded in death by a brother Jack and a sister Erma McCombs. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-7 PM Thursday.
