Eugene F. Grimm

Austintown- Funeral services will be 11 am Friday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Eugene Grimm, who died Monday evening at Briarfield Manor. Eugene was born January 18, 1921 in Toronto, Ohio, the son of John and Charlotte (Thompson) Grimm and was a life long area resident. Eugene was employed by General Foods for 32 years retiring in 1986 as a salesman. He was a member of Wickcliffe Christian Church, Croation Club, Austintown Eagles #3298, Youngstown Grocers Association, and a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and served his country in the United States Army Air Corp during WWII. He was proud to be the father and grandfather of five Eagle Scouts; he was loved and will be missed by his family who was always at his side. He was an avid Detroit Tiger fan. Eugene is survived by sons; Gary (Janice) Grimm of Canfield, Eugene “Bud” and Randy Grimm both of Austintown, brother; Lawrence Grimm of Toledo, sisters; Betty Weldon of Fredericksburg, Va., Judy (Don) Stare of Howland, grandchildren; Molly Lee, Kenneth Grimm, Jonathan Grimm, Amy Cluse, Jennifer Evans, Jodie Grimm and great grandchildren Meredith and Aiden Cluse and Alyssa Mae Evans. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years Theresa Mae (Lutton) Grimm, twin brother Jack and brother Dick Grimm. Family and friends may call Thursday from 5-8 pm at the funeral home and one hour prior to services Friday morning.
