Eugene Mock

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Eugene Mock who passed away at his daughter's home Monday afternoon. Eugene was born December 26, 1927in Youngstown a son of the late Harry and Nora (McDonald) Mock. A veteran of the United States Army, he served in the 82nd Airborne as a paratrooper. He was a carpenter with Local 171 and retired after 25 years with C.C. Kaiser and Sons in Canfield. After retirement he drove truck for Sentile for 20 years. Gene enjoyed woodworking and fishing, but most of all loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by his wife the former Lois Chapman, of Du Bois, PA, whom he married January 15, 1983; six children: Catherine Montesano of Austintown and her children: Nancian Meek, Staci Direnzo and Leah Montesano; Gary (Sharon) Mock of Austintown and their children: Nichole Kolat and Gene Mock; Linda (Donald) Lutz, with whom he made his home for the last 4 years and their children: Matthew, Jason, and Marc Lutz; Debra (Jesse) Hodge of North Jackson and their daughter Kara Terlecki; David (Diana) Mock of Canfield; Lisa (James) Caputo of Austintown and their children Anthony Sangialosi, Nicholas Caputo, James Caputo, and Lauren Caputo; the mother of his children: Nancy West of North Jackson; six great grandchildren; four step children: Dennis (Carol) Webb of Bedford, PA, Wanda (Irvin) Bridges of Claysburg, PA, Brenda (Wayne) Mickey of Du Bois, PA and Brian (Lori) Webb of Du Bois, PA; seven step grandchildren; a sister Betty Stephens of Burbank, CA; and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Gene is preceded in death by a brother Harry Mock Jr. and two sisters: Lois Lape and Elda Sunshine. Friends may call from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel.
