Evelyn Armstrong

Mineral Ridge- Evelyn Armstrong, age 95 of Humility House formerly of Mineral Ridge passed away Thursday evening in Trumbull Memorial Hospital. Evelyn was born March 23, 1912 in Niles and was the daughter of the late Al and Irene (Campbell) Bowker. She married Glenn Armstrong June 13, 1931. Glenn preceded her in death Jan. 14, 2007. Evelyn was a homemaker who was dedicated to her family. Evelyn was a lifelong member of the Mineral Ridge Church of Christ, joining the church in 1924. She had sung in the choir, served as a deaconess and for many years was a class officer and Sunday School teacher. She remained an active member of the church continuing to attend church services until the past two years when declining health prohibited her from attending. She was one of the original members of the Mineral Ridge Fireman’s Auxiliary and served as president of the association. With her husband the late Glenn Armstrong, she volunteered for Mobile Meals for 19 years. She was an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians, Browns and Cavaliers and continued to listen to the games up until her death. Evelyn is survived by two daughters, Donna Squires of Mineral Ridge and Diane Natoli of Niles, four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. Private services were held.
