GIRARD---There will be services at 11:00 A.M. Monday at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Anstrom Chapel, 8387 Tod Ave. in Boardman for Evelyn Mae Chamberlain, 79, who passed away Thursday morning at Trumbull Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. Mrs. Chamberlain was born August 11, 1933 in Youngstown, a daughter of Marvin and Evelyn Lambert McNeish. A 1951 East High School graduate, Evelyn worked at General Fireproofing Company and A & P Grocers. She was a founding member of the Alzheimer's Referral Network. Evelyn was an avid fan of her grandchildren's Boardman School sports teams. In her leisure she enjoyed cheering for her favorite NASCAR driver, Jimmie Johnson. She was fortunate to have many friends for Friday Lunches and evening card games. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Donald E. Chamberlain whom she married November 23, 1957 at Christ Church Presbyterian where she was an active member for many years, helping to found the church library. Evelyn will be sadly missed by her two daughters and their families; Susan Downie, her husband Brad and children Austin, Alexis, and Ashlynn all of Boardman; Linda Chamberlain, her friend Hank Darlington and children Max and Owen King all of Wilmington, Vermont; and her sisters, Mary Lee Glowacky and Paulette Gothard. Another sister, Louise Bosela preceded her in death. Friends may call Sunday from 4 to 7:00 P.M. and from 10 to 11:00 A.M. Monday prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Westminster Presbyterian Church, 119 Stadium Dr., Boardman, OH 44512.
