Evelyn V. Buckner

Services will be held 6 PM Friday in the Lane Funeral Home Canfield Chapel for Evelyn V. Buckner, 95 of Columbiana formerly of Canfield who passed away early Monday morning in St. Elizabeth Medical Center Boardman Campus. Evelyn was born August 9, 1915 in Johnstown PA, the daughter of Andrew and Stella (Gordich) Marcinko. She was a member of St. Michaels Church, its Altar Guild, a former member of St. Edward Church in Youngstown, its Altar Guild, its PTA, and its bowling league. Evelyn was also a volunteer at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. Her husband Donald Buckner, whom she married May 15, 1935, passed away October 1, 2010. Evelyn leaves two sons; Raymond Buckner of Niles and Robert (Karen) Buckner of Poland, as well as six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, Evelyn was preceded in death by a sister Dorothy Drennen. Friends may call from 4 to 6 PM Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice of the Valley 5190 Market Street, Youngstown Ohio 44512 in Evelyn's name.
