CortlandServices will be held Friday at 10am at Shafer-Winans Funeral Chapel for Fannie Hottenroth who passed away Wednesday morning at her home. The daughter of Edward and Stella (Masters) Simms, Fannie was born in Elizabethtown, KY on September 2, 1931. On February 19, 1955 Fannie married Charles W. Hottenroth, with whom she spent 57 wonderful years of marriage. A graduate of Rineyville High School, Fannie was a housewife who enjoyed quilting, gardening, and playing solitaire. She also volunteered as the secretary of the United Pentecostal Church of Youngstown for almost 20 years. Fannie is survived by her husband Charles, her daughter Cheri (Mark) Dodson, her son Steven (Lisa) Hottenroth and two sisters. She is also survived by four grandchildren Christopher Rowlands, Cody Dodson, Garrett Dodson, and Logan Hottenroth. Fannie is preceded in death by her parents and four brothers and sisters. Friends may call from 9am-10am Friday at Shafer-Winans Funeral Chapel. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
