Florence C. Wilson

Florence C. Wilson of 847 Lynita Drive, Brookfield, Ohio, died on Friday (8-25-2006) in O’Brien Memorial Nursing Home, Masury, Ohio after an extended illness. She was 76. Mrs. Wilson was born in Slickville, Pennsylvania on August 2, 1930, a daughter of Michael and Minnie (Ficcaglia) Cugino. A 1948 graduate from Brookfield High School, Florence worked as a Secretary for over 20 years at General American Transportation Company, Masury. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sharon, Pennsylvania. In her spare time, Florence loved flower gardening, cooking, and baking. She was well known by her family and friends for her Christmas cookies. She was an avid reader and she had a gift at making picture collages. Survivors include: her husband, Robert C. Wilson, whom she married February 7, 1959; her son, Robert C. Wilson, Brookfield, OH; her step-son, Jeffrey C. Wilson, Pittsburgh, PA; her sister, Theresa A. Rodgers & her husband Robert H., Brookfield, OH; her sister-in-law, Dolores Cugino, Niles, OH; her niece, Lisa Lukasko & her husband Paul; her nephews, Vincent & Larry Cugino, and Brion Rodgers(correct spelling); her great-niece, Erica; and her great-nephew, Michael. She was preceded in death by her parents; and by her brothers, Michael D. Cugino, Jr, and an infant John. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday at the Madasz Funeral Chapel, Brookfield, with Rev. Frank Zanni, officiating. Calling hours will be Monday from 5-8 PM. Burial will be private.
