Floyd D. Perry

Boardman- Funeral services will be at 12 pm Wednesday at Bethel Assembly of God Church for Floyd Perry of Boardman, who died Sunday afternoon at Omni Manor Nursing Home. Floyd was born December 21, 1927 in Youngstown the son of Floyd W. and IzaBelle Goodman Perry and was a life long area resident. Floyd was a member of the church where he had served as an Elder, Greeter and Usher. He retired from Youngstown Sheet and Tube and then worked at Stambaugh Thompson’s until the store closed in the 90’s. Floyd loved to golf and bowl. He is survived by his wife of almost 50 years Virginia (Simeone) whom he married February 11, 1956, daughters; Elizabeth Schockley of Jackson Hole, Wyoming, Kathleen Perry of Cheyenne, Wyoming, step-son Anthony Larkin of Youngstown, grandchildren; Melinda Horstmann of Youngstown, Rochelle West of Ozark Alabama, Sean and Dustin Schockley of Jackson Hole, Wyoming and ten great grandchildren. Floyd was preceded in death by his brother and sister in-law Fred and Dorothy Perry. Family and friends may call from 5-8 pm Tuesday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel and from 11am-12pm Wednesday at the church.
