Frances M. Bartholomew

Frances M. Bartholomew, 84, of Masury, OH passed away at 12:55 PM Thursday afternoon September 2, 2010 at O�Brien Memorial Home in Masury, OH. Mrs. Bartholomew was born on October 12, 1925 in Sharon, PA, to Joseph A. and Mary (Perchinski) Novak. A graduate of Fowler High School, Frances went on to marry Carmen V. Bartholomew on February 6, 1943. She was of the Catholic faith and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus. Frances had worked for the Sharon Store and JC Penney�s as a salesclerk for many years until her retirement in 1982. In her free time she enjoyed being a loving mother to her family and reading many different books. Mrs. Bartholomew is survived by her son David Bartholomew of Masury, OH; her three daughters Janice Bartholomew of Simi Valley, CA, Karen Payne of Henderson, NV, and Cynthia Bartholomew of Masury, OH; her brother John �Jack� Novak of Warren, OH; her sister Beatrice Burbach of FL; three grandchildren Bryan Schuster, Heather Payne, and Brandon Bartholomew; and by her great-grandchildren Marsi, Nathan, and Sophia Schuster. She was preceded in death by her husband on October 14, 2002, her daughter Marcia Bartholomew on August 6, 1979, and by her brothers Joseph Novak and Edward Novak Sr. Calling hours for friends will be held Wednesday September 8, 2010 from 4-7:00 PM at the Madasz Funeral Chapel in Brookfield, OH. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 11:00AM with the Rev. Frank Zanni as Pastor. Burial will be in Brookfield Township Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy the family suggests that contributions be made to American Cancer Society.
