Francis F. "Fred" Boughner, 69 of Bazetta Township, died Friday morning, January 27, 2012, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. He was born April 14, 1942 in Vienna, the son of the late Julia I. Reagan Boughner. He was raised and went to school in Youngstown. After graduating from high school, he served as a private first class in the Army during Vietnam, being stationed in Germany. Fred worked for 37 years at Commercial Intertech as a machine operator, retiring in 2002. Fred was of the Catholic faith. He was an avid fisherman and Cleveland Browns and Indians fan. He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren, and especially enjoyed being at all of their birthday parties and activities. Fred is survived by his wife, Arlene L. Reston Boughner, whom he married February 15, 1997; two stepdaughters, Wendy (Kevin) Horner of Johnston Twp. and Dawn Marie (Joseph) Warminski of Hubbard; three grandchildren, Nathan Horner, Lindsay Horner and Katrina Warminski; one brother, Donald (Sue) Boughner of McDonald and two sisters, Rita (Phil) DeCapita of Champion and Peggy Leonard of Girard. Four sisters, Frances Fecko, Irene Berard, Joanne Flannery and Wanda McCullough and two brothers, Raymond and Joseph Boughner all have preceded him in death. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Lane Family Funeral Home, Shafer-Winans Chapel in Cortland, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday.
