Champion Frank Fucci Jr., 87, passed away Thursday morning, June 9, 2016 in Warren, OH. Frank was born on September 22, 1928 in Meadville, PA, the son of the late Frank Fucci Sr. and Helen Davis. He was a graduate of Meadville High School in Meadville, PA. After high school he married his wife, Elizabeth A. Fucci on October 18, 1946 and started their family together. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy and served his country during World War II. He found employment at Copperweld Steel for 32 years before he retired and was a member of Champion Presbyterian Church. He loved watching sports; especially the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and bowling in numerous leagues. Frank will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Elizabeth (Acker) Fucci; his children, Jean Knapp of Howland, Tom (Beverly) Fucci of Leavittsburg, and Cathleen Jones of Warren; 12 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and his sister, Peggy Young of Beaver Falls, PA. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother William Fucci and his step-mother, Margaret Warren. A private service has taken place for Frank and burial was at Champion Township Cemetery.
