Frank M. Magyar, 98 Frank M. Magyar, 98 of Briarfield Manor, formerly of Canfield died early Friday morning at Briarfield Manor. Mr. Magyar was born February 12, 1916 in Cleveland, Ohio, a son of the late Frank and Katalin Hegyi Magyar and came to this area in 1949. He received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Fenn College, now Cleveland State University where he was a member of the Alumni Association. Mr. Magyar worked for S.G. Morris Co. in Cleveland for 35 years before he retired. He was an amateur radio operator since 1932, his call sign being W8DVI and a member of the Amateur Radio Relay League. Frank was a private pilot and a member of the AOPA (Airplane Owners and Pilots Association) His wife, the former Fern M. Wallis Whom he married November 25, 1944, died March 9, 2005. He leaves his daughter, Candace (Joel) Tavormina of Whitehouse, Ohio; two sons, Dr. Carl (Heidi) Magyar of Crystal River, Florida, Philip (Linda) Magyar of Canfield; ten grandchildren, Amy Fidler, Angela Tavormina, Anthony Tavormina, Courtney Magyar, Amanda Magyar, Christina Calve, Michael Magyar, Victoria Magyar, Stephen Magyar, Madelynn Magyar and three great-grandchildren, Ethan Fidler, Elaine Fidler and Mario Tavormina. Besides his parents and his wife, Mr. Magyar was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Magyar and an infant son Franklin Magyar. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 8th at Lane Family Funeral Homes, 65 N. Broad Street, Canfield Chapel.
