Franklin L. Isenberg, Sr.

Girard- Funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday at the Lane Funeral Home-Mineral Ridge Chapel for Franklin L. Isenberg, Sr., age 75 of Girard who died Sunday morning at his home. Franklin was born Aug. 5, 1931 in Brush Valley, Pa. and was the son of the late Walter and Leafie (Lockard) Isenberg. He retried in 1980 from Youngstown Sheet and Tube and had served in the U.S. Marines during the Korean War. Franklin was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Girard. Franklin was married Jan. 25, 1954 to the former Twila Bell who died Oct. 23, 2003. He is survived by four children, Sandy (Mark) Jordan of Niles, Richard and Linda Isenberg both at home and Bonnie Isenberg of Fowler, OH. He also leaves his siblings, Tim (Mary) Isenberg of Hubbard, Don (Donna) Isenberg of Niles, Joe (Sandy) Isenberg of Mecca, Sarah (Jim) Stear of Bristolville, Mary (Beryl) Shoop of Shelocta, Pa., Paul (Cindy) Isenberg of Brush Valley, Pa., Dale (Cathy) Isenberg of New York, NY, and Jerry (Judy) Isenberg of Texas. He leaves five grandchildren, Amanda, Jessica, Jason, David and Angel and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his daughter Phyllis, his son Franklin Jr., his sister Beulah (Charles) Patterson and three brothers Dave (Sarah) Isenberg, Tom (Dorothy) Isenberg and Pete Isenberg. Friends may call at the Lane Fuenral Home-Mineral Ridge Chapel from 5-8 PM Thursday. The family requests that material contributions be made to family.
