Frederick ''Spud'' Leroy Taylor

FREDERICK “Spud” LEROY TAYLOR Austintown- Funeral services will be held 11 Am Monday Lane Funeral Home-Austintown Chapel for Frederick L. Taylor age 89 of Liberty Health Care formerly of N. Main St. in Austintown died early Friday morning (Nov. 12) at Liberty Health Care. Spud was born May 11, 1915 in Freemont, Iowa and was the son of Fred L. and Stella (Rominger) Taylor. He retired in 1977 from Republic Steel/LTV where he had worked for over 30 years.and had worked on Todd Wood Farm on Logan Rd. in Liberty Twp for two years. He was presently attending Four Mile Run Christian Church and was formerly as member of Berean Mennonite Church and Church of God. He loved to fish and gardening. Spud leaves four children William (Ella) Taylor of Hubbard, JoAnn McCauley of Hubbard, Joseph “Dick” (Laurie)Taylor of Austintown, Linda (Darrill Dye) Oviatt of Southington, OH, 31 granddchildren, 63 great grandchildren and 22 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife the former Vera Jones, whom he married Aug. 9, 1937 two sisters Ruth Taylor, Estella Taylor and four brothers Lester, Ed, Gerald “Skeetz'' and Amos Taylor. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-7 PM Sunday.
