Freeda Wodogaza

Freeda Muriel Wodogaza Freeda Muriel Wodogaza, 74, passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at the Elizabeth House; Flat Rock, NC. A native of West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Ezra Stevens and Ruby Dunbar. She is predeceased by her late husband, Nicholas John Wodogaza who passed away in 1989. In addition to living in Etowah for the past 9 years, she has also lived in Mineral Ridge, OH, Charlotte, NC, and Hilton Head, SC. Freeda was a graduate of Jackson Milton High School in OH. She was a member of the Glen Cannon Country Club and loved to play golf. Freeda was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening, loved to travel and was an accomplished shopper. Additionally, she was a volunteer at Pardee Hospital, the Humane Society in Hilton Head and Hendersonville, and volunteered with hospice for Elizabeth House at Four Seasons. In addition to her parents and late husband, she is also preceded in death by three sisters, Barbara, Betty Jo, and Vera; and a brother, Linden. Survivors include her significant other of 16 years, Ken Lipsio; sons, Nick Wodogaza (Dottye) of Columbia, SC, and Rick Wodogaza of Niles, OH; and daughters, Linda Wodogaza of Asheville, and Cathy Mohr of San Diego, CA. Survivors also include Daryl Stevens of OH, and Shelby Stevens of AZ. A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday April 15, 2013 at the Lane Family Funeral Home Mineral Ridge Chapel. Following the service the family will receive friends at the Mineral Ridge Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation or gift be made in Freeda's memory to the Elizabeth House in Flat Rock, NC or the Humane Society of Hendersonville, NC.
