Gary E. Carlson

GARY E. CARLSON, 76 CANFIELD-- There will be services at 11:00 A.M. Monday at First Covenant Church for Gary E. Carlson, 76 formerly of Canfield, who died Thursday morning at Austin Woods Nursing Home. Mr. Carlson was born December 27, 1936 in Youngstown, a son of Dwight G. and Anna M. Peterson Carlson. He was a 1954 graduate of Boardman High School. Gary was an electrician for over 40 years, retiring in 1999. He worked for the A.F. Beil Electric Co. for 22 years and "Joe" Dickey Electric, Inc. for 20 years. Gary was a lifetime member of First Covenant Church and belonged to IBEW Local No.64. He leaves his wife of 41 years, the former Nancy J. Rook, whom he married February 12, 1972; his son Eric D. Carlson and his fianc, Bethany Batdorff of Columbiana; his daughter, Gretchen A. Carlson of Canfield; and his sister, Jane Sandin of Boardman. His brother, Raymond M. Carlson is deceased Friends may call Sunday from 5 to 8:00 P.M. at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Anstrom Chapel, 8387 Tod Ave. in Boardman, and from 10 to 11:00 A.M. Monday at the church prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice in lieu of flowers, First Covenant Church, Hospice of the Valley, Austin Woods Activity Dept.
