A memorial service will be held 11 AM Saturday at Grace Church of the Nazarene in Austintown for Gary L. Van Horn, 64, of Austintown who passed away Monday evening. Gary was born May 8, 1943 in Plumville PA, the son of Floyd and Katherine (Juart) Van Horn. He worked as an Overhead Crane Operator with WCI Steel retiring in 2002. Gary was a member of the church and his hobbies included gardening, and raising birds and fish. He was also an avid hunter. He leaves his wife the former Joanne Wilson whom he married December 18, 1972. Besides his wife, Gary leaves five children; Linda Devlin of Pittsburgh, Lauretta Rapone of Champion, Ronald Kuyat of Kentucky, Richard Van Horn and Joseph Van Horn both of Texas, two brothers; Howard Van Horn of Mineral Ridge, and James Van Horn of North Jackson, as well as eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Besides his parents, Gary is preceded in death by a brother; Charles Van Horn. Family and friends may call from 10 AM until 11 AM Saturday at the Church. Arrangements are by Lane Funeral Home Mineral Ridge Chapel.
