Gary Zane Dittmer

Gary Zane Dittmer, 72, of Warren died Monday, October 23, 2006 at 10:30AM at Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. Born January 20, 1934 in Butler, PA he was the son of the late Lee Charles and Mae Ellen (Neyberger) Dittmer. A graduate of Butler High School, Mr. Dittmer has been a resident of Warren since 1968. He retired from Van Huffel Tube where he worked as a machinist. He was an avid sportsman, played football during his high school years and enjoyed many sports. He also enjoyed camping and fishing, but most of all his family and especially his grandson. He will be missed by his loving wife, Shirley (Hockenberry) Dittmer whom he married March 17, 1961, two children, Kevin Cary Dittmer at home in Warren and Heather DeVonna Dittmer also of Warren, a grandson Ryan Channell, brother Carl Dittmer of Warren, and two sisters, Helen Twininger of Butler, PA and Dixie Buzzard of Shakour, PA. He was preceded in death by two children, a son Gregory and daughter Sherry Mae Dittmer. According to Gary’s wishes, cremation will take place. The Rev. Dr. David Robert Black will conduct a memorial service Friday, October 27, 2006 at 2:00PM at the Calvary Presbyterian Church. Friends and family may visit at the church from 1 to 2PM. The family has entrusted arrangements to the Roberts Clark Funeral Chapel.
