Gayle A. Beck

Gayle A. Polenick Beck passed away Thursday at St. Joseph Hospital in Warren after an extended illness. She was born February 8, 1948 in New Castle, PA a daughter of the late Michael and Dorothy Warso Polenick. She was a 1966 graduate of Neshannock High School where she enjoyed acting and dancing in many New York style musicals. She had attended Youngstown State University for an extended period in pursuit of an Elementary Education degree. She was a member of Gamma Gamma Sigma, a service sorority while at Y.S.U. Gayle was an excellent cook, who enjoyed all kinds of animals, especially dogs. She was especially artful at ceramics and cross-stitching. Gayle was a former member of St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church in New Castle. She is survived by her husband, Dennis Beck whom she married November 15, 1975; a son Robert Beck of Liberty Township; one brother Michael (Virginia) Polenick of Phoenix, AZ; three nieces and three nephews. Besides her parents, Gayle is preceded in death by a brother Dennis Polenick. The family requests that any financial tributes be sent in Gayle’s name to: Haven Animal Rescue Adoptions, 6013 Columbiana Rd, New Middletown, OH 44442.
