Gene Edwin Mason

Gene Edwin Mason, 82 of Leavittsburg, died at 4:12 p.m. Friday, June 15, 2012, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. He was born February 8, 1930 in Akron, the son of the late Wiley and Blanche Hudson Mason. Gene retired in 1994 after working for 40 years at American Welding and Mfg. Company in Warren as a ring mill helper in department 40. He was of the Protestant faith. Gene is survived by his wife, Peggy L. Dishman Mason, whom he married November 1, 1952; two daughters, Cheryl D. Monos of Niles and Deirdre A. Nicholas of Newton Falls; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Two sisters and three brothers have preceded him in death. Per Gene's wishes, no calling hours or services will be held. Cremation will take place. Arrangements were handled by Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel.
