George A. Moore Sr. 65, of Leavittsburg died at 7:40 PM Friday July 20, 2007 at his home following a long battle with cancer. He was born Feb.17, 1942 in Warren the son of John and Ethel (Styers) Moore. A lifetime area resident, he was employed by General Motors Lordstown for 31 years retiring in1998. George enjoyed camping and loved to stay at home and have camp fires in the back yard. He was an avid Cleveland Browns fan. He was preceded in death by his father John, a sister Leona Yeager and a brother Richard Moore. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Vivian (Stone) Moore whom he married March 21, 1960, his mother Ethel of Cortland, 3 daughters Leona “Peaches” (Chip) McKeefery of Leavittsburg, Rita (Don) Dermer of Las Vegas, Tammy (Scott) Dustman of Leavittsburg, 2 sons George (Debbie) Moore Jr. of Leavittsburg, David (Kim) Moore Sr. of Warren, and a sister Sandy (Ray) White of Cortland. He also leaves 22 grandchildren; Alexis Palma, Chassidy McKeefery, Tiffany McKeefery, Angelo Palma, Kyle Moore, Deann McKeefery, David Moore Jr., Paul Knepper, Sean Knepper, Samantha Moore, Jacob Moore, Holly Spicer, Donald Dermer Jr., Danielle Dermer, Erica Dermer, James Scott, Roger Scott, Paula DiNardi, Matthew , Ashlee, Kayla, Dakoda Dustman, and 10 great grandchildren; Alexiah Scott, Christian and Natalie Spicer, Emma and Marisa Dermer, William, Daniel, and Juliana DiNardi, and Maleia and T.J. Scott. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday July 24, 2007 at the Leavittsburg Church of God. Pastor Byron Powers will officiate. Friends will be received from 6:00-9:00 PM Monday at Roberts-Clark Chapel and for 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Cremation will follow and burial will be in Pine Knoll Cemetery.
