George P. Stofira II, 39, of Niles passed away unexpectedly 1:30 PM Thursday Dec. 2, 2010 at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center Boardman campus following an apparent heart attack. He was born Sept. 29, 1971 in Warren the son of George L. and the late Sandi (Knupp) Stofira. A lifetime area resident, George was a 1989 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School where he was a member of the band, and received a bachelor’s degree in computer technology from Youngstown State University. He was formerly employed by GM Lordstown, the Auto Toy Store, and most recently by Lou Ferraro”s Auto Network as a salesman. He enjoyed paintball, biking, playing tennis, and playing the guitar and trumpet. He is survived by his father George L. Stofira of Howland Twp., his wife Renee (Eyer) Stofira whom he married Oct. 31, 1998, daughter Alexis Stofira of Niles, stepdaughter Jessica Goff of Niles, a brother Christopher Stofira of Warren and maternal grandmother Jean Boyts of Southington. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday Dec. 7, 2010 at Roberts-Clark Chapel where friends will be received from 6-8 PM Monday. The Rev. Bernard Schmalzried will officiate. Interment will be in All Souls Cemetery.
