George R. “Dickie Bird” Williams of 597 Syme Street, Masury, Ohio, died on Saturday (4-28-2007) in UPMC-Horizon Campus, Farrell, Pennsylvania following an extended illness. He was 68. Mr. Williams was born in Brookfield, Ohio on July 7, 1938, a son of Richard and Elizabeth (Perry) Williams. A 1956 graduate from Brookfield High School, Dick went on to serve our country in the U.S. Navy. He retired from Sharon Steel after 34 years as a Millwright. Dick was a member of the former Masury VFW Post #8860 and in his spare time, he enjoyed playing cards, hunting, fishing, camping, and socializing with his friends. Survivors include: his children, Joni Wagner & her husband David, Sharpsville, PA, and Richard A. Williams, South Carolina; his step children, Raymond Fioramonti, Cortland, OH, Christina DeMarco, Sharon, PA, Connie Wolanzyk, Cortland, OH, and William Fioramonti, Warren, OH; his sister, Sally Kulich, Alexandria, VA; his 13 grandchildren; his 6 great-grandchildren; and his former wife, Marsha Fioramonti. He was preceded in death by his parents; by his infant brother; by his sister, Jackie Luchey; and by his grandson, Christopher Fioramonti. In accordance with his wishes, no calling hours or services will be held. As an expression of sympathy, the family suggests contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
