George Richie

AUSTINTOWN-There will be a funeral service held on Thursday, January 10, 2008 at 7:30PM in the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for George Richie, 91, who passed away at 8:45 PM in Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Home in Boardman. George was born October 2, 1916 in Youngstown the son of the late John and Sabatina (Berardi) Ricchiuti and lived in the area all of his life. George retired from Packard Electric after 22 years as a machinist. George was a former member of West Austintown United Methodist Church. He was currently a member of Wickliffe Christian Church, Argus Lodge No 545 in Canfield, Youngstown Shrine, and the Aut Mori Grotto in Youngstown. George was a veteran of the United States Army. George was married his first wife the former Ruth Skinner and she preceded him in death on September 30, 1979; George married again on March 26, 1986 to the former Ellen C. Calame McGregor and she preceded him in death on February 23, 1997. George is survived by two stepsons Hamilton McGregor of Cincinnati and Bruce McGregor of New Jersey; and five grandchildren. Family will receive friends on Thursday, January 10, 2008 from 5 until 7 PM in the funeral home where the Argus Lodge 545 will conduct a vigil service at 7PM. Interment will take place on Friday in Valley Cemetery in Marietta, OH.
