Austintown- Funeral services will be held at 11 am Saturday in the First Free Will Baptist Church Austintown for George Beal who died Saturday at Carle Hospital in Urbana, Illinois after becoming ill while on vacation. George was born October 25, 1931 in Fayette County, PA. the son of George T. and Dorothy (Cunningham) Beal. George was a faithful member of First Free Will Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and belonged to the Masters Men group. He retired from Conrail in 1987 after over 30 years where he had been employed as a yard conductor. George served his country in the Army during the Korean War and was a member of the Korean War Vets of Austintown. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, loved camping vacations with his family. George's greatest love was being with his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. George is survived by his wife Geraldine (Shaffer) Beal whom he married June 28, 1953 , children; Bruce (Donna) Beal of Austintown, Keith Beal of Franklin, PA., Peggy (Ernest) Coffey of Austintown, Mark (Joyce) Beal of Garrettsville, 11 grandchildren and 44 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Family and friends may call from 5-8 pm Friday evening at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel and from 9:30 am until time of services Saturday at the church.
