George W. Turner

Mineral Ridge- Funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday at the Lane Funeral Home-Mineral Ridge Chapel for George W. Turner, age 89 of Mineral Ridge who died Sunday evening at Briarfield at the Ridge. George was born June 30, 1920 in Girard and was the son of the late William and Ruth (Seem) Turner. He had worked for Trumbull Bronze for 30 years and had also worked for Oak Foundry. George was a member of Mineral Ridge Church of Christ where he had served as a Deacon and Elder and was a member of the Waggin Wheel Travel Club. His wife, the former Lois Baker whom he married Nov. 10, 1943 died March 28, 2006. He is survived by a son, Larry (Myrna) Turner of Niles, a daughter Linda (John) Misoni of San Diego, Calif., seven grandchildren, three great granddaughters and one great grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and two brothers James and Harvey Turner. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 PM Thursday. The family requests that material contributions be made to the Mineral Ridge Church of Christ.
