Georgia Barstow

Georgia Barstow, 64, of Cortland died 1:40 PM Monday Dec.15, 2008 surrounded by her family at Hospice House in Poland. She was born Jan.18, 1944 in Warren the daughter of Nick and Mary (Hray) Economos. A lifetime area resident, Georgia was a loving homemaker and for the past eleven years has been employed in the environmental services dept. at St. Josephs Health Care Center. She was a member of the Bazetta Christian Church, and she enjoyed the outdoors, yard work, traveling and her pet macaw "Bebe". Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her husband of forty-three years Ronald Barstow whom she married Feb.18, 1965, daughter Sheri (Mark) Bockelman of Fowler, son Kevin (Kim) Barstow of Utah, and 5 grandchildren; Rachel, Leah, Tyler, Ian, and Corey. She also leaves 8 sisters and 3 brothers. Preceding her in death were her parents and a sister. Services will be 6:00 PM Thursday Dec.18, 2008 at Roberts-Clark Chapel where friends will be received from 4 PM until service time. Pastor Paul Leone will officiate. Cremation will follow.
