A mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday in St Anthony Church in Youngstown for Georgie Navarro, 58 of Holland, Ohio formerly of Boardman who passed away peacefully Thursday, January 5, 2006 surrounded by her family after a five year courageous battle with cancer. Georgie was born December 5, 1947 in Youngstown the daughter of Joseph and Theresa Pavlich. She was a 1965 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School. She was a Beautician with Barbara’s Beauty Shop on Shirley Road in Youngstown for a number of years. More recently Georgie was a active member of Stone Oak Country Club in Holland and belonged to the Garden Club, the 9 & 18 hole lady golfers and served on the social committee for years. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, and also was a volunteer for the American Cancer Society Reach for Recovery Program. Georgie’s positive attitude demonstrated incredible strength, courage and grace throughout her ordeal. She will always be remembered for her great love of family that spilled over onto all those who knew her. Georgie is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Bob, and their three children; Jason (Lori) Navarro of Brecksville, OH, Erin (Dave) Sauer of Brunswick, OH, and Nicole Navarro of Cleveland, OH, one grandson Nicholas Sauer, three sisters Frances Martin of Struthers, Lana (Tom) Philips of Arlee, MT, and Jo Jo (Dan) Yosten of Poland. She also leaves her in-laws Bob and Theresa Navarro, brother-in-law Mike Bury and Aunt Helen Baker all of Boardman, and in-laws Patti and Mike Kimock of North Jackson as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Georgie is preceded in death by a sister Barbara Bury, a brother-in-law Paul Martin, a nephew Mark Martin, Aunt Sally Pavlich and Uncle Mike Baker. Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 pm Wednesday at the Lane Funeral Home Canfield Chapel where a prayer service will be held at 7pm. In lieu of flowers the family request material tributes take the form of donations to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation in Georgie’s name. Our dear Georgie is at peace and we will continue to hold to her smile in our hearts!
