Gerald Arthur Rhinehart

Lordstown- Funeral services will be held at 11 am Thursday at the Lane Funeral Home Canfield Chapel for Jerry Rhinehart who died Monday morning at the Hospice House. Jerry was born April 11, 1939 in Youngstown the son of Jay A. and Cedora (Ruth) Rhinehart. Jerry had formerly lived in North Jackson for many years. Jerry was employed as a security guard for Delphi, retiring in 1997 after 28 years. He graduated from Canfield High School in 1957, attended Youngstown College and served in the Army. He was of the Methodist faith, enjoyed flying with his son Jerry and playing with the grandchildren. Jerry was also a member of the Berlin Yacht Club and enjoyed sailing and a member of the Hudson Automobile Club. He is survived by his wife Marilyn (Shafer) Rhinehart whom he married in 1962, son Gerald "Jerry" (Michele) Rhinehart Jr. of Lordstown and daughter Susan R. (Frank) Natoli of McDonald. He is also survived by his brothers; Ronald (Barbara), Dale (Mary) Rhinehart both of Canfield, grandchildren; Stephen (Marin), Frankie, Benjamin, David, Harrison, Natalie and great grandchildren, Alexandra and Sebastian. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, brother Lamar and his best friend Ted Erwin. Family and friends may call from 10-11 am Thursday at the funeral home prior to services. The family requests that memorial contributions take the form of donations to the Hospice House.
