Gerald E Christy

Gerald E. Christy, 66, of Niles passed away 1:30 PM Friday July 2, 2010 at his home. He was born Sept. 5, 1943 in Armstrong Co. PA the son of Homer F. and Mary V. (Sheaffer) Christy. An area resident for most of his life he was a welder and fabricator most recently for McDonald Welding until retiring due to illness. His wife, Goldie (Longstreth) Christy preceded him in death along with his parents a sister and a brother. He is survived by a son John (Lisa) Christy of Middlefield, OH, 3 step children Debbie (Cliff) Ghrist of Middleburg, FL, Paul (Dianne) Miller of Toledo, Joseph Miller of Utah, 3 grandsons; Nathan, Adam, Shaun, and 5 sisters. There will be a memorial service 1:00 PM Thursday July 8, 2010 at the Pineview Memorial Park Chapel. Mr. Christy has been cremated. Roberts-Clark Chapel was entrusted with the arrangements.
