There will be a memorial service Saturday November 18, 2006, at 11 AM at the First Federated Church in North Jackson for Gladys E. Baringer who passed away Saturday morning at her home. Gladys was born October 19, 1914 in Ellsworth, OH a daughter of the late Charles Freeman and Ivy (Palmer) Kuhns. She was a homemaker, a member of the First Federated Church and it’s Women’s Fellowship Group. She was a member of the North Jackson Keenagers, the Pythian Sisters Lodge #343 in North Jackson, and numerous card clubs. Her husband Richard L. Baringer, whom she married October 31, 1937, passed away July 11, 1983. Gladys is survived by her three children: Roger (Mina) Baringer of Berlin Center, Joyce (Charles) Slusarczyk of Lordstown, and Carol (Larry) Pierson of Lordstown; one brother Carl (Bonnie) Kuhns of Cleveland; eight grandchildren; and 13 ½ great grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, Gladys is preceded in death by four sisters: Verna Kuhns, Leona Kuhns, Velma Fisher, and Dorothy Baringer; and two brothers Merle and Lohr Kuhns. Memorial contributions may be made to the Women’s Fellowship at the First Federated Church in Gladys’ name. The family has entrusted Lane Funeral Home to handle the arrangements.
