Gladys L. Shank

Services will be 4 pm Saturday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Gladys L. Shank, 87, of Canfield, who passed away Tuesday morning in Hartland Hospice/ Manor Care Center in Westerville Ohio. Gladys was born May 3, 1923 in West Union, W.VA, the daughter of Victor and Eva (Grant) Knight and came to this area in June of 1978. She was a homemaker, a former member of Apollo Free Methodist Church in Apollo PA, a current member of First Free Methodist Church in Canfield Twp., where she was very active within several church organizations in her younger years. Her husband L. Russell Shank, whom she married March 20, 1954, passed away February 28, 2001. Gladys leaves two children; Leland R. (Helen) Shank of Claremont California, and Marilyn (Don) Foy of Austintown, three sisters; Leolyn Ross of Massillon, Lucille Arledge of Chillicothe, and Ruby Ramsey of Circleville, two brothers; Clarence Knight of Londonderry, and Ray Davis of Rio Grande, OH, as well as five grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. Gladys is preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Friends may call from 2 to 4 PM Saturday at the Lane Funeral Home with the services to be held at 4 PM.
