Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 8 PM at the Lane Funeral Home Canfield Chapel for Glen C. Fero of Salem who passed away on Saturday morning at Salem Community Hospital. Glen was born September 30, 1917 in Youngstown the son of George and Rachael (Griffith) Fero and was a 1936 graduate of South High School. Glen was a machinist at Wean United where he retired in 1982. He was a member of the Wean United Retirement Club, The Austintown Grange, The Mahoning United Methodist Church, and had attended Smith Corners Methodist Church. Mr. Fero leaves six children: Carol Olinger of Salem, Sandra McIntyre of Silver Spring, MD, Debra Hosey of Glen Burnie, MD, Susan Thomas of Tampa, FL, Dr. David Fero of Prescott, AZ, and Terry Fero of Lauderhill, FL. He also leaves a sister Marjorie Connolly of Youngstown and a brother Ralph Fero of Phoenix, AZ. Glenn also leaves twenty-three grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. Glen was preceded in death by his wife Helen L. (Puccine) on November 21, 1995, as well as three brothers: Paul, Russell, and David Fero and six infant brothers and sisters. Friends and family may call from 6-8 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be sent to Hospice of the Valley 5190 Market St. Boardman, OH 44512.
