Glenn E. “Spice Daddy” Caddes passed away Thursday morning at his residence. He was born April 12, 1930 in Struthers a son of the late Lester E. and Nettie (Shaffer) Caddes. Glenn was superintendent of the die shop for Metal Products in Niles retiring in 1992. He was a member of the New Covenant Church in Youngstown, a volunteer a St. Elizabeth Hospital, enjoyed square dancing and loved playing Santa Claus. He is survived by his fiancée Margaret Wilson of Youngstown: four children: Russell (Karen) Caddes of Mineral Ridge, Elizabeth (Victor) Delligatti of Mineral Ridge, David (Hilda) Caddes of Boyds, MD, and Lisa (Eli) Santiago of Youngstown; two sisters Rachel Pointer of Lisbon and Thelma McLaughlin of Girard; six grandchildren Alex Alfaro-Caddes, Sara Smith, Natalie Santiago, Nathan Santiago, Grimilda Ocasio-Santiago, and Christopher Delligatti; and several nieces and nephews. Glenn is preceded in death by his wife the former Irene DeHaan and a sister Martha Wiles. There will be a memorial service at Green Haven Cemetery Chapel at 11 AM Saturday April 2, 2005. Arrangements are being handled by Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel.
