Glenn K. Hughes

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Friday at the Lane Funeral Home Mineral Ridge Chapel for Glenn K. Hughes of Mineral ridge, who passed away Saturday evening at Glenview Manor Care Center. Glenn was born January 16, 1915, in Bristoria, PA the son of Charles and Nellie (Johnson) Hughes. He was a station engineer for Columbia Gas and retired in 1980 after 43 years of service and missing only 17 days of work. He leaves a daughter, Bonnie Sue Shepler of Mineral Ridge and a son Kenneth Glenn Hughes of Warren. Glenn also leaves four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Bettie Lee Slonaker whom he married June 17, 1939 and passed away August 31, 2000. He was also preceded in death by two brothers: John and Robert Hughes, and two sisters: Gail Hughes and Helen Phillips. Friends and family may call from 5-8 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
