Glenna Edwards

Niles Glenna Edwards, 97, passed away Friday evening, January 3rd, 2014 at Shepherd of the Valley in Niles. She was born in Kaylor, PA on October 9, 1916, a daughter of John G. Crawford and Jessie (Lopp) Crawford. She married her husband Marvin Edwards Sr. on May 29, 1937 and had two children together. Glenna was a member of the Fairview United Methodist Church in Niles for many years. She enjoyed being a homemaker, a caregiver, attending church, traveling, and bowling. Glenna is survived by two sons; J. Marvin (Janet) Edwards Jr. of Cortland and Walter L. (Brenda) Edwards Sr. of Niles, one brother Walter Charles (Wanda) Crawford of Howland, three grandchildren; Holly, Walt II, and Chrystal; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband who passed away on April 13, 1983, two brothers; Samuel Leroy Crawford and John G. Crawford Jr., and one grandson Jeff. There will be a private service at the Lanes Family Funeral Home Niles Chapel at a future date. Interment will take place at Niles City Cemetery.
