Gloria Dragus

Gloria Dragus, 78, passed away peacefully Saturday, January 28, at home. She was born on November 8, 1938, in Campbell, OH, daughter to the late George and Rosalie (Kosa) Beelen. Gloria was a 1956 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School and then graduated from Trumbull Memorial Nursing School in 1959. She worked at Trumbull Memorial Hospital as a registered nurse and nursing instructor. On January 21, 1961, Gloria married Thomas S. Dragus and they spent the next 24 years together before his passing on April 28, 1985. While married to Thomas, Gloria helped him run his company, T. Dragus and Associates Engineering, and later assumed ownership of the business when Thomas passed away. Gloria also owned Fancy Free Clothing Store and spent time working for Carrington Health Care and March of Dimes. Gloria will be remembered for her involvement with the Ohio Cultural Alliance and as a band parent for both the Austintown-Fitch High School Band and the Warren Jr. Military Band. Left to cherish Gloria's memory are her children, Thomas (Suzanne) Dragus, Diane (Todd) Dragus Zets, and David (Janet) Dragus; her grandchildren, Cassandra (Robert), Thomas, Rebekah, Elizabeth, Raeanne, Allyson, Olivia, and Jessica; her great-grandson, Elijah; her daughter-in-law, Ruth Anne Raseta; her brother, Dr. George D. (Betty) Beelen; her sister, Joanne (Robert) Coppola; her brother-in-law, Harold Standorf; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to Gloria's parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Standorf. Family will receive friends from 10AM-12Noon on Saturday, February 4, at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Canfield Chapel, 65 N. Broad St. A funeral service will follow the calling hours at 12Noon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gloria's memory to a charity of your choice.
