Gloria J. Jacobs of Austintown passed away Sunday evening in St. Elizabeth Medical Center. She was born September 26, 1945 in Youngstown a daughter of Charles and the late Bernice (Dieter) Jacobs. Gloria had worked as a cashier for Woolco was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Youngstown, where she was involved in Ladies Aid, the Lutheran Anns Sewing Circle, and had been a Sunday school teacher in the nursery. She was a member of the Upbeats Senior Citizens, graduated from The Rayen School in 1965 and enjoyed bowling and bingo. Gloria is survived by her father of Austintown; two brothers: John R. (Kathleen) Jacobs of Austintown and Dana Eugene (Margaret) Jacobs of Cincinnati; three nieces Terri Jacobs, Lori (Chris) Geers, Allison Geers; two nephews Dana Jacobs Jr. and Nathan Jacobs. She is preceded in death by her mother. Friends may call from 5-8 PM Wednesday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel where a funeral service will be held 10 AM Thursday. Material contributions may be made to the General Fund at Immanuel Lutheran Church.
