Gloria J. Marek

Austintown- Mass of Christian Burial will be offered by Father Stephen Popovich at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 3, 2005 in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church for Gloria J. Marek of Shepherd of the Valley in Niles and formerly of S. Aldrich in Austintown, who passed away at 9:27 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph Health Center. She was 63. Gloria was born in Warren, Ohio on April 23, 1942 and was the daughter of Stephen and Rose (Luknis) Caruso. Gloria was a graduate of Niles McKinley High School and was a homemaker. Gloria was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. Gloria was married on June 1, 1963 to Robert Marek. Robert preceded Gloria in death on July 21, 1997. Gloria will be deeply missed by her mother Rose Caruso; her children Lisalynn (Cruciano) Segretario of Austintown, Robert (Tara) Marek Jr. of Youngstown; three sisters Rosemarie Ondich, Kitty Maniatis, and Nancy Caruso, two brothers Stephen Caruso Jr., and Albert Caruso, and five grandchildren Sabrina Segretario, Cecilia Segretario, Robert E. Marek III, Emma Marek, and Abigail Marek. Besides her husband, Gloria was preceded in death by her father and a granddaughter Victoria Segretario. Family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel, where the funeral procession will leave for the church at 12:20 p.m. Gloria will be laid to rest next to her husband in Resurrection Cemetery in Austintown.
