Goldie E Adams

CORTLAND- Goldie Esther Adams, 86, passed away peacefully in her sleep at her residence on Monday, February 23, 2015. She was born on February 2, 1929 at home in Bloomfield, Ohio to the late Peter A. and Esther Anna (Gikar) Berger. Goldie married her late husband Leonard Adams on September 27, 1947. She was retired from Packard Electric and was a long time member of Bethel Baptist Church. Goldie loved to sew, was an avid reader and enjoyed listening to southern gospel music. Goldie is survived by her son, Bryan Adams of Cortland, Ohio and daughter, Sandi (Ted) Velat of Wimberley, Texas; 4 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Leonard Adams; parents, Peter A. and Esther Anna (Gikar) Berger; son, Len Adams II in February of 2013; and 3 brothers and 2 sisters. A memorial service will be held on March 5, 2015 at Bethel Baptist Church , 1244 Tod Place, Warren, Ohio 44485 11:30 A.M. The family invites friends to gather from 10:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. prior to services at the church.
