Grace E. Nesbitt

Grace E. Nesbitt, of Youngstown, passed away at 11:10 a.m. Thursday, June 17, 2010 at the Hospice House in Poland following a battle with cancer. She was 87 years old. Grace was born on June 22, 1922 in Youngstown the daughter of the late Warren and Eva Meeteer and was a 1940 graduate of East High School. A homemaker, Grace was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Austintown and was an avid bowler. She belonged to the Tuesday Morning Women’s League at Westside Lanes and also bowled on the former Wednesday Morning St. Brendan’s Women’s League for over 20 years. She enjoyed playing the lottery. Grace was married on June 14, 1941 to Herbert H. Nesbitt and they were married for 53 years until his passing on September 21, 1994. She is survived by one daughter Beverly (Jerry) Kohl of Canfield; three grandsons and their families Jay (Bailey) Kohl and their son Andrew, Kevin (Ellie) Kohl and their children Jove and Julia, and Brian (Brehan) Kohl and their daughter Aneilia. Besides her parents and husband, Grace was preceded in death by a sister Eleanor Lydic. Calling hours will take place on Sunday, June 20, 2010 from 1 until 3 p.m. in the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel, 5797 Mahoning Ave, Austintown, Ohio, 44515. A Funeral Service will take place on Monday, June 21, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. The family suggests that memorial contributions take the form of donations in Grace’s name to the Hospice House, 9803 Sharrott Road, Poland, Ohio, 44514.
