Grace Geneva Ripley

Services will be noon Thursday at the Mount Mariah Lutheran Church for Grace Geneva Ripley, 86, of Berlin Center who passed away Monday afternoon in Salem Community Hospital. Grace was born September 1, 1924 in Berlin Center the daughter of John and Blanch M. (Fellnogle) Davis and was a lifelong area resident. She retired in 1991 from the Western Reserve School System after nine years in the custodial department. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and a member of the church and very active in both her church and community. Grace was a graduate of Berlin Center High School class of 1942. Her husband Donald Sehon Ripley, whom she married August 4, 1946 passed away in April 1995. Grace leaves four children; Judy Ozenghar, Charles (Patti) Ripley, Gary Ripley, and Christine (William) Kirkpatrick all of Berlin Center, two sisters; Evelyn Weinhofer of Windom, and Helen Reed of Diamond, and one brother; Ralph Davis of South Carolina, 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Grace is preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Friends may call from 11 AM until Noon Thursday at the church. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the church or the Sojourner House (Battered Womens shelter)in Grace's name.
