Grace H. Callahan, 87, passed away Saturday evening at Community Skilled Health Care Center following an extended illness. She was born October 6, 1925 in Curwensville, Pa., the daughter of John Ellsworth and Della Mae Hess Harvey. She moved to Ohio in 1930. She was employed at Ohio Lamp and later at Packard Electric. She married her husband James of 66 years in 1946. They spent many years traveling the country in their mobile home and particularly enjoyed their winters spent in Las Vegas. She was a member of Second Christian Church. Besides her husband James she is survived by her daughters Cynthia (Don) Daskivich and Dena Callahan; two grandsons, Matthew (Joanna) Daskivich and Adam Daskivich, both of Dallas, Texas; extended family members Michael, Dana and Scott (Chris) Daskivich; one brother, Raymond Harvey of Niles; one sister, Evelyn (Bob) Callahan of Champion; many nieces and nephews; and her beloved cat Cody. Preceding her in death, besides her parents, was one sister, Anna Mae (Albert) Isler, and six brothers, James (Cora), John Howard (Ila), Charles (Jean), Joel (Akima), Robert and Dewey Harvey. In keeping with Grace's wishes there will be no services or calling hours. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements were handled by Roberts Clark Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market Street, Youngstown, Ohio or the Animal Welfare League of Trumbull County, 545 Brunstetter Road Warren, Ohio.
