Grace Vera Taylor

GRACE (Vera) Taylor Austintown- Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday for Vera Taylor age 89 of Liberty Health Care formerly of N. Main St. in Austintown who died Friday morning at Liberty Health Care. One week after her husband. Vera was born March 23, 1915 in Beaver Falls, Pa. and was the daughter of Joseph and Grace (Leonard) Jones Sr. She was a homemaker and had worked at the fish market on High St. in Youngstown. She was a former member of Berean Mennonite Church and the Church of God. She enjoyed reading and sewing. Grace was preceded in death by her husband Frederick L. “Spud” Taylor whom she married Aug. 9, 1937. 9, 1937. She is survived by four children William (Ella) Taylor of Hubbard, Joseph “Dick” (Laurie) Taylor of Austintown, Linda (Darrill) Dye) Oviatt of Southington, OH, six sisters Nellie E. Shoenberger of Youngstown, Gertrude Dudley of Austintown., Ruby Nashette of Boardman, Vivian Serrichio of Canfield, Shirley Fair of Lakeland, FL, Sara (Joe) Cooper of Hubbard, 31 grandchildren, 63 great grandchildren and 22 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, June Vitto, Rosalie Bergman and two brothers, Edwin and Joseph Jones. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-7 PM Sunday.
