Grealdine R. Gearhart

Geraldine R. Gearhart -- 101 East Liverpool—Services will be held 1:30 pm Friday at Lane Funeral Home Mineral Ridge Chapel for Geraldine R. Gearhart, 101, of East Liverpool formerly of Howland who passed away Monday evening in East Liverpool Hospital. Geraldine was born September 3, 1903 in North Jackson the daughter of Harry and Effie (McMahan) Harklerode and was a life long area resident. She was a homemaker and had worked as a Secretary for Remington Rand Business Service. Geraldine retired from the Howland School System where she worked in the cafeteria for nine years. Geraldine was also a member of Howland Community Church. Her husband Irvin Gearhart whom she married in 1934 passed away in 1962. Geraldine leaves her daughter-in-law; Eldena Gearhart of Negley Ohio, seven grandchildren; Ryan Gearhart of Carterville Georgia, Irvin Gearhart of Garden Grove California, David Gearhart of San Bernardino California, Renee Wolfe and Michael Gearhart of Niles, Curtis Gearhart of Anchorage Alaska, and Justin Gearhart of Memphis Tennessee, twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Besides her husband, Geraldine is preceded in death by her three sons Laddie Lamar Gearhart who passed away as a child, Terry Gearhart who passed away in July of 1995 and Jerry who passed away in July of 2004 and a brother Lamar Harklerode also precedes Geraldine in death. Family and friends may call from 12:30 pm until the time of services Friday at the funeral home.
