Harold Hollis

Private services were held for Harold Paul "Sonny" Hollis, 85, of North Jackson who passed away Monday January 3, 2011 at his home with his wife by his side. Sonny was born July 1, 1925 in Youngstown the son of Harry and Alma (Mumford) Hollis. He retired in 1991 from the maintenance department form Land O Lakes in Kent. He was a graduate of Austintown Fitch High School and was an Army Veteran of WWII. Sonny was a former member of the American Legion Post in Lake Milton. Sonny leaves his wife the former Louise Baker McDonald-Hollis whom he married August 16, 1985. Sonny also leaves six stepchildren; Audrey (Fred) Popp, Mary Lou (Jorge) Alexandres, Dale McDonald, Alan (Christine) McDonald, Ernest (Sandra) McDonald, and George McDonald, as well as eight grandchildren; Emily (Keith) Ellsworth, Hollyann Popp, Gina and Ericka Alexandres, Nicole, Veronica, Alexandra, and Blake McDonald, and two great grandchildren; Chase and Tori Ellsworth. There were no calling hours. Arrangements were by the Lane Funeral Home Canfield Chapel.
