Harriet G. Ungar

Harriet G. Ungar, of Austintown, passed away Wednesday afternoon at Briarfield Manor. She was born October 20, 1921 in Youngstown a daughter of the late Harry and Ethel Taylor Guy. Harriet was a charter of Wickliffe Presbyterian Church and it’s Ester Circle. She had been a telephone operator for McKelvey’s, Aetna Standard Engineering, and U.S. Steel in Youngstown. She was a graduate of South High School. Harriet is survived by one nephew Dr. James Guy Crawford of Flatwoods, KY She is preceded in death by her husband George Ungar whom she married October 18, 1941 and passed away on April 11, 1998, one sister Helen G. Crawford, and one nephew Fred A. Crawford. Friends may call at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel from 6-8 PM Friday evening and from 10-11 AM Saturday morning at Wickliffe Presbyterian Church where a funeral service will take place at 11 AM.
